General Overview

The Adventure Therapy Institute bases its training on international scientific research and findings. ATI is committed to the European dissemination and conceptual further development of Adventure & Nature Therapy. This requires competent specialists with an affinity for the outdoors and nature as well as a high level of technical expertise. ATI promotes both with an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented educational offer.

The training in Adventure & Nature Therapy imparts methodological competence, scientific understanding of theory and professional qualifications in therapy and counseling. The content is tailored to the needs of professionals in the psychosocial and therapeutic environment. ATI prepares you in an optimal way for the requirements in the practical field of clinical, health and social work.
 
International speakers guarantee learning success and knowledge transfer from different disciplines of psychology, sociology, social pedagogy and Adventure & Nature Therapy.

The Adventure Therapy Institute is founded in 2021 to provide uptodate, effective, and quality training in Adventure and Nature Therapy in Europe. It has been a long path to get here, and now we can finally introduce the training we would have loved to do time back. Distilled from more than 10 years of training in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Iceland, Greece and Italy, and 3 years designing hand in hand with the newest needs and recommendations of professionals and companies, and lately, following the self-understanding of the German Federal Association of Individual and Experiential Education.

Both blended learning, experiential, to embody the learning and live a meaningful group experience; and online adapted to the new times, and having in mind the planet: less carbon footprint.

Please consider that there may be entry requierements for the training. Depending on your level and background of previous studies and training, you can certify as a therapist or a practitioner. A Therapist designs, implements and evaluates therapeutic interventions, while a Practitioner supports and assits the therapeutic processes.
